Go to a beauty supply, I don't think they need to sharpen, at least not often, even less so if you use them to cut your hair only.

I would go to Sally Hansen and they have all types of hair cutting scissors, and just ask what you can do to sharpen the scissors when they get dull.

You can buy hair cutting scissors at Sallys Beauty Supply. In a hair salon they last for about 3 months when you use them everyday. They cost around $30. Then it is cheaper to just buy another pair of scissors than to sharpen them. Expensive scissors my cost about $450–can be sent off to be sharpened- they cost about $30 to sharpen them. They stay sharpened for a good bit more time and they stay razor sharp. They give a better haircut. Sometimes a cheap pair of scissors ($30) chew at the hair when compared to a good pair. To use an inexpensive scissor at home will last you a couple of years or so depending on how often you use the. If you cut string or paper it ruins the scissors.
