OK, right now I have Rocket Dog shears, and they are ok, however they are bending hair again. I have sharpened them about 5 times and I have had them for 2 years. I heard after you sharpen them 4 times you need a new pair, is this true? Anyway, I am wondering what others are using and if there are any suggestions!

I have had Rocket Dog shears for five years now, and I love them. I think the problem is you are haveing the wrong person sharpening them. When some people sharpen them they take off half the blade. I know a few people who have had them for almost 15 years and they still cut great. I would suggest you find someone really good to sharpen them. Don't forget to wipe the blades dry after each haircut and keep them stored in a dry place. If you drop them don't close them call someone right away to have them looked at, if there is a notch in them you will never get a good cut.
