Do not use a knife sharpener for scissors as suggested. Sharpening scissors is not like a knife. With scissors it is the flatness of the blades that is most important. To be properly sharpened the blades need to be separated and the flat sides sanded or polished flat. Then the bevel is ground. I can only guess since I don’t have any scissors worth sharpening, most of us just buy the cheap disposable kind. But they guy I go to charged $6 for a pair of garden shears.
