Sure, Germany is beautiful and I've thoroughly enjoyed the two times I've been able to visit the country. But I just about died when I saw those hotel bills. It took until just about the end of my last stay in Germany to find this great discount hotel which actually from appearance doesn't really look like a discount hotel. It's a big chain all over Europe, apparently.
