Is it me or are fly rods not as tough and durable as they used to be? Ive broken 2 fly rods in the space of two weeks! Ive been a fly fishermen for 58 years and never had this happen to me. I snapped the tip on my sage TCR after pulling in a small brown of around 2lbs and then i snapped the tip of my Orvis Helios doing the very same thing, only with a rainbow of about 3lbs.
