Bleeding Through, a straight edge metalcore band, formed during the summer of 1999 in Orange County, CA. The band's roots can be traced back to 1998, when Breakneck was founded by Brandan 'Sheep' Schieppati (Eighteen Visions / Throwdown), Javier Van Huss (Eighteen Visions / The Mistake / Enewetak), guitarist Scott Danough, bass guitarist Chad Tafolla and drummer Troy Born (Taken).
Slayer is best known for speaking through perspective without being necessarily sympathetic to the cause of their inspiration. Slayer's musical traits involve fast tremolo picking, guitar solos, double bass drumming, and shouting vocals. They have headlined music festivals worldwide, including Unholy Alliance and Ozzfest.
Rage Against the Machine released their debut album Rage Against the Machine in 1992, which became a commercial success, leading to a slot in the 1993 Lollapalooza. The band did not release a follow-up record until 1996, with Evil Empire. The band's third album The Battle of Los Angeles was released in 1999.
British black metal band Cradle of Filth were formed in 1991, originally comprised of vocalist Dani Filth (born Daniel Lloyd Davey), guitarist Paul Ryan, his keyboardist brother Benjamin, bassist John Richard, and drummer Darren.
CKY (short for Camp Kill Yourself) is comprised of members Deron Miller (vocals, guitar), Chad Ginsburg (guitar), Vern Zaborowski (bass), and Jess Margera (drums). The roots of CKY stretch back to 1994, when friends Miller and Margera formed the group Foreign Objects - issuing the EP The Undiscovered Numbers & Colors on the Distant Recordings label a year later.
